If you could win one tournament what would it be and why?
I am aiming to be selected for the u21 World Youth Championships. If I was selected this would be the one tournament that would mean the most to me. I would want to win as this is what the current excel programme is trying to achieve, and to beat opposition such as New Zealand and Australia would be an amazing achievement as it hasn't been done at this age group before.
Do you anticipate any major expense coming up in the next few months?
Operation and physio treatment but this has been funded by England Netball.
How did you first get involved in your sport?
My mom took me to a Junior Netball club.
What do you enjoy the most about being a sportsperson?
Being able to see how far I can go, and the best I can achieve. It also helps improve confidence and social skills greatly, and you meet a lot of friends from it.
Who is your sporting hero?
Olivia Murphy is a great inspiration of mine. I am fortunate enough to have played with her and she is the same position as me so I can learn a lot from her.
What does a typical week look like for you?
I work as a waitress for around 8 hours a week. I do about an hours exercise most days, I am working hard with my rehab to get back to playing asap I take 3 A-levels and have about 15 hours of lessons a week. In addition to this I also work around my subject and complete my homework.
Message to The JB Trust Supporters
Competing at this level comes at a cost and I am very grateful for the financial backing and support from SportsAid and the Joanna Brown Trust.
